Eddie Smith
was only with the club for two years between 1948 and 1950 but he made a tremendous impact as a goalscorer, scoring 14 goals in his first six league games.
In total he played 69 matches for Wealdstone, scoring 49 goals before leaving at the end of the 1949-50 season to turn professional with Chelsea.
