Eddie Dillsworth
joined Wealdstone as a forward in 1964. Born in Sierra Leone, he was a regular goalscorer in his time with the club.
He became the first black player to win a wembley final in 1966 when, on his 21st birthday he played at Left Half for Wealdstone in the 3 - 1 Amateur Cup Final win over Hendon. He had offered to play at half back at the start of the season and had made the position his own, although he often played as a forward the following year.
One final memory was his return from injury in the 1967 season, his last with the club, when, appearing as a half time substitute he scored 4 goals in a 7 - 0 win at Wycombe Wanderers.
He later went onto become a professional with Kettering and played for a number of other clubs as a pro before he retired.
